What’s Your Prakriti: Vata, Pitta or Kapha?

What’s Your Prakriti: Vata, Pitta or Kapha?

Ayurveda describes human body as a five elementary building blocks namely- earth, air, water, fire, and space. These elements are present in equal proportions known as Dosha.

Three primary doshas are: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. You’re a healthy soul if you possess a perfect balance of these three.

Vata-Pitta-Kapha

An individual is characterized by a perfect constitution of the three Doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. The three doshas determine our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. These play an essential role in terms of Ayurvedic medicines.

According to Ayurveda; if you’re aware of an individual’s doshas, you know anything and everything about that person. From his spiritual, physical, temperament, like, dislikes to dietary needs.

Vata is responsible for air and space, Pitta for fire and water, and Kapha for water and earth. Vata is present below the navel, Pitta between the navel and heart, and Kapha above the heart.

Vata-Pitta-Kapha Dilemma

Vata-Pitta-Kapha- Usually at ease and in concord, are addicted to wrong food consumption, are typically untrue to themselves.

  1. Vata leads to sleeping, digestive, and anxiety disorders.
  2. Pitta leads to gastritis, heat flashes, insomnia, and diarrhea.
  3. Kapha against Vata and Pitta might cause obesity, lethargy, and depression.

A Word from Healthy Roots

Life is healthy and lived fully when the doshas function effectively and are in balance. However, once in a lifetime, these constitutions might witness a shift contigent on physical, mental, and emotional conditions.

Therefore, it becomes vital that you recognize your dosha and then approach a lifestyle that you’re meant for. In a nutshell; a diet and daily routine depending on your dosha.
